We welcome you to the new web site which introduces our village to the wider public within our county and beyond. The County of Essex is of course renowned for its many delightful rural villages and unspoilt countryside. It is a part of England that we all hope will remain unchanged.
Tolleshunt Knights as part of the Tolleshunta area was recorded in the Domesday Book, and you can read more about its history on the site. With a population of just over a thousand it is one of the smaller villages in this part of rural Essex, but from its highest point it has far reaching views over the Blackwater Estuary, and whilst rightly jealous of its rural roots, it is only one mile from its larger neighbour Tiptree with its wide range of facilities.
We hope you will find all the information here of interest and come to agree with us that Tolleshunt Knights is a vibrant community and justly proud of its acheivements and history. Your ideas and comments are welcome, so please feel free to email your views to us.
